Winning Smiles Dentistry

Losing multiple teeth at the same time can cause serious damage to one’s self-confidence. Such individuals would be highly conscious of their smiles and oral appearance while socializing in public places. In such cases, their oral functionality would take a significant hit even on biting or chewing food and experiencing issues with speech. Hence, getting these extracted teeth restored at the earliest would be the best way to go about it to overcome these difficulties.

What are the tooth replacement options for me?

When it comes to replacing missing teeth, the go-to solution is dental implants. They are metal studs placed in the jawbone in place of the extracted teeth, and a ceramic tooth-like crown would be bonded to it. A simpler option would be a dental bridge - a ceramic restoration placed between the teeth and held firmly using crowns on either side. However, both these restorations are suitable for restoring one or two teeth. When it comes to replacing many of them, at Winning Smiles Dentistry, we usually recommend dentures.

What are Dentures?

Dentures are oral prostheses made from a combination of dental-grade ceramic (for the prosthetic teeth) and highly durable acrylic (the base, which also mimics the gums). They are removable appliances, making them highly convenient to use, especially for the elderly. Dentures are the simplest means to replace multiple teeth in one go, and their inexpensive nature makes them highly desired.

What are the advantages of Dentures?

The advantages of dentures are as follows:

  • Since dentures are removable, they can be worn and taken off as and when required

  • They restore your ability to bite and chew food effectively

  • Dentures replace a large number of teeth at once, thereby making your cheeks and chin appear fuller, thus, giving your entire facial profile a more rejuvenated appearance

  • The dental-grade ceramic used to create the prosthetic teeth exhibit high strength and durability

  • Cleaning dentures is quite simple and less time-consuming

  • Dentures last for a long time without any hassle, provided they are well cared for

  • In case your dentures need any modifications due to prolonged use or when they lose their shape, we can tend to them with ease and make them as good as new

  • They offer excellent fit and comfort, which keeps them from getting displaced in the mouth or slipping off.

What is the procedure to get Dentures?

When you visit us at Winning Smiles Dentistry, Dr. Darian will screen your mouth and determine your candidacy for dentures. If you have any partially damaged or decayed teeth that you wish to get extracted, our team will remove them. Highly precise x-rays and digital scans of the mouth will be taken to serve as a reference for fabricating the restoration. The data collected will be sent over to a dental laboratory, where the dentures will be made in a couple of weeks.

Once they are ready, we will schedule a follow-up session for you. The dentist will place the dentures in your mouth and check for an ideal fit. We will educate you about its usage and maintenance.

We request you to consult with our dentist to get all your oral concerns addressed at the earliest. Please call us from your nearest location or schedule an online consultation, and we’ll be happy to help.
